Swedish Massage is the most popular, full body massage. If you are looking for some deep relaxation, this is the massage for you. It incorporates both broad and specific strokes, including kneading and effleurage, to promote increased circulation, lymph flow and flexibility, decreased muscle toxins and promote overall relaxation. Various depths of work will be incorporated to suit your needs.
Integrative Massage takes the typical Swedish massage to the next level. It may include Acupressure, Trigger Point Therapy, hot or cold therapies, PNF and / or active isolated stretching, Myofascial Release, deep tissue massage, range of motion for joints, pre and post event sports massage, energy work, or many other modalities. These techniques can focus on a problem area or be incorporated into a full body massage.
Deep Tissue Massage is perfect for those who enjoy and need very firm pressure. Massage strokes and direct pressure are applied using the thumb, palm, forearm, elbow, and massage tools to allow for deep therapeutic work into both the muscles and connective tissue. A deep tissue session can focus on a problem area or be a full body massage. This technique is not intended for sensitive individuals.
Aromatherapy Massage is the perfect blend of a relaxing massage experience with the therapeutic healing of aromatic oils. Aromatherapy can increase relaxation and rejuvenation (lavender, chamomile, rose), help to create clarity and peace of mind (mints, sandalwood, clary sage), wake up your senses (various citrus and mints), or promote increased circulation and pain relief (eucalyptus, peppermint, birch). I design every blend myself and will customize the scents to whatever you desire. Only 100% pure essential oils are used in these treatments.
Myofascial Release is a very effective technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue to eliminate pain and restore motion. Fascia is one continuous structure that exists from head to toe. Each part of the entire body is connected to every other part by the fascia. Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce pressure on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, CAT scans, ultrasounds, etc.) This technique is performed directly on the skin with little to no oils or creams.
Clinical / Therapeutic Massage focuses on healing from a specific injury or chronic issue. I use various massage techniques to reach the core of the problem, increasing range of motion, strength and flexibility, while decreasing muscle tension and pain. I will work with personal injury insurance claims (PIP) and personal injury law attorneys to directly bill insurance companies for medical cases due to work and motor vehicle accidents. This allows you to focus on your healing and reduces the stress and anxiety of having to worry about the billing process.
